General Eye Health

Most adults should see an eye doctor every 1–2 years. If you have diabetes, wear contact lenses, have a family history of glaucoma, macular degeneration, or are over 60, you may need more frequent exams. Regular eye exams with an ophthalmologist near you help catch problems early.

Cataracts

Cataracts are a clouding of the eye’s natural lens, causing blurry vision and usually glare symptoms. They develop with age but can also result from diabetes, smoking, steroid use orally or topically on the eye, or eye injury.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is an eye disease that damages the optic nerve and retina, usually from high eye pressure. Known as the 'silent thief of sight,' it often has no symptoms until vision loss occurs.

Uveitis

Uveitis is inflammation of the uvea (middle layer of the eye). It can cause redness, pain, light sensitivity, and blurred vision.

Macular Degeneration (AMD)

Age-related macular degeneration affects the macula (center of the retina) and causes loss of central vision.

Diabetic Eye Disease

A group of eye conditions in people with diabetes, including diabetic retinopathy, hemorrhaging inside the eye or retina, diabetic macular edema (DME), cataracts, and glaucoma.
